Ioannina is a beautiful historic city in Epirus, nestled on the shores of Lake Pamvotida. It is renowned for its picturesque scenery, historic castle, charming island on the lake, and rich cultural heritage. The city is also an important economic, educational, and tourism hub in northwestern Greece.
Day 1: Chalkida – Lake Pamvotida – Ioannina
Departure at approximately 7:30 AM from Chalkida, heading to Ioannina, with an intermediate stop along the way for a more comfortable journey.
We continue towards Bizani, where we will have the opportunity to make an optional visit to the Wax Museum, which presents important historical moments from the region.
Later, we arrive in Ioannina and visit Lake Pamvotida. By boat, we will cross to the island of Kyra Frosyni, where we will have free time for a leisurely walk, a visit to Ali Pasha’s House, and an optional lunch at a traditional local taverna.
The day concludes with our return to the city and check-in at our hotel. In the evening, an optional stroll around the Castle of Ioannina is recommended, offering the perfect opportunity for memorable and Instagram-worthy photos.

Day 2: Konitsa – Kalpaki – Molyvdoskepasti – Aoos River
After breakfast, we begin our exploration of the Konitsa area.
Our first stop is Kalpaki, where we will visit the War Museum. We then continue to the village of Molyvdoskepasti, home to the historic Monastery of Panagia Molyvdoskepasti, located near the Greek-Albanian border.
We will spend some time in the area, with the opportunity to visit the ancestral home of Saint Paisios, followed by free time for coffee and lunch.
We continue our journey towards the impressive stone bridges and the banks of the Aoos River, surrounded by an area of exceptional natural beauty.
We return to Ioannina and enjoy free time at leisure. Those who wish may take advantage of the facilities at our hotel, including the swimming pool and wellness services (at an additional cost), for moments of complete relaxation.

Day 3: Metsovo – Kalabaka – Chalkida
After breakfast, we gather our luggage and depart for Metsovo, a traditional mountain village with a strong cultural identity.
During our visit, we will have free time to enjoy a coffee in the charming cobblestone square, as well as the opportunity to make optional visits to museums and local attractions.
We then continue to Kalabaka, where we will have time for lunch.
Our excursion concludes with our return journey to Chalkida, with an intermediate stop along the way for a short break.
